Vivid fuchsia streaks and magenta beams cut across the sky, slicing pigmented rays out of the formerly dark and starry night. A whistling interrupted the serene stillness in the Clan, waking some. Others rose when it became a roar. Against the backdrop of blinding pinks came a dark, fuzzy shadow, growing with every passing second. Dragons scattered, taking to the blustery skies as a massive hunk of extraterrestrial material hurtled towards the dirt. It smashed into the lower grass fields, scraping a path through the ground until it came to a stop. The cooling rock had notches decorated with crystals, and out of one particularly sunken crevice, a fully intact egg was recovered.

Epithymia knew her destiny from the moment she hatched. As a hatchling, she spent her days gazing into her Pearl, seeing shapes and colors in the fog other dragons were blind to. At first, it was luck she was associated with, since good things seemed to happen to those near her when her claws scraped over the smooth surface of the Pearl. As she grew and became verbal, she announced and assumed her true role. Her hut is carved from the very meteor she came from, and the foggy path to it is spattered with crystals. Dragons can have their true wishes revealed here, if they’re blind to it themselves, but only dragons with great potential have the chance to have that desire granted.
