Blackberry

Hatched near the Sunportal within the Tangled Wood, it would seem that fate had it out for Blackberry from the very beginning. As soon as he was able to take flight, the young hatchling wandered too close to the structure his parents had always warned him to stay away from, and suddenly found himself within a sunkissed plain, blue skies overhead. Blackberry wasn't entirely sure how he got there, but what he was sure of was that he was afraid.

Shivering near the ancient structure, his colouring led him to stick out like a sore thumb; he was found not long afterwards by a small group of scouts, who naturally took pity on the youngling and brought him back with them to their lair. Blackberry was just grateful to be in the company of other dragons again. The two Fae that called themselves the leaders of this clan seemed apprehensive about his inborn element, but they couldn't very well leave an innocent hatchling to fend for himself. And so it was decided that he would be raised within the clan.

When he matured, Blackberry found himself eager for battle; not to exalt himself, no, but to battle the many wild creatures that called the realm home. The leaders seemed pleased by this resolve, and sent him out to train with another skilled warrior. It was there that Blackberry realized his potential as a warrior, incredibly skilled in both offensive and supportive magic. He is not often seen within the lair, but returns with spoils from battle often.



Personality: True to his nature as a Spiral, Blackberry can be quite excitable, with battle being a natural outlet for all of this energy. His upbringing has left him somewhat unsure, however: being the only Shadow attuned dragon amongst children of the Lightweaver was lonely at times, and he isn't entirely sure what the "right" way to talk to dragons of other elements is. He is nothing if not friendly, however, and will happily befriend anyone that shows interest.
