UWABAMI
The Hungering Serpent

★★★ LORE
In the heart of a lush and vibrant forest, where ancient trees whispered secrets and sunlight filtered through the leaves, there dwelled a magnificent creature known as Uwabami. Uwabami was a dragon serpent hybrid, blessed with a serpentine body covered in shimmering scales of emerald and jade, and wings that gleamed like sunlit leaves.

But Uwabami carried a burden that set her apart from other creatures. A curse afflicted her, an unyielding hunger that could never be satisfied. No matter how much she consumed, her hunger remained insatiable, an eternal void that gnawed at her very essence. Desperate to quell the voracious appetite that plagued her, Uwabami made a decision that would forever alter the course of her existence.

Driven by her unquenchable craving, Uwabami made a pact with darkness. She sought the aid of malevolent forces, hoping to gain the power necessary to consume the entire forest, believing that only by devouring every living thing within its boundaries could she finally satiate her unrelenting hunger.

As Uwabami unleashed her insatiable hunger upon the forest, the once vibrant woodland withered in her wake. The creatures of the forest cowered in fear, their homes destroyed by the dragon serpent's insidious rampage. The very essence of life was drained from the trees, and the once beautiful land transformed into a desolate rot covered wasteland.

News of Uwabami's devastation reached the ears of Kodama, the forest deity of life and death. As the embodiment of the delicate balance between creation and decay, Kodama understood the danger posed by the ravenous hybrid creature. With solemn determination, Kodama ventured forth to confront Uwabami and put an end to her insatiable hunger.

A battle of epic proportions ensued between the dragon serpent and the forest deity. Uwabami lashed out with her venomous fangs and thrashing tail, while Kodama wielded the powers of life and death with unwavering resolve. Their clash was short-lived, but Uwabami was able to bite Kodama, afflicting him with the same curse as her.

In the end, Kodama's wisdom and connection to the cycles of life prevailed. Drawing upon the power granted by the forest itself, Kodama sealed Uwabami's power, stripping her of the ability to consume and destroy. The forest deity, disgusted by the rot and destruction she brought upon the forest, sent her away.

Uwabami, now rendered powerless, was banished to the lightning deserts—a barren wasteland devoid of life. There, she would forever be watched by Kodama, a constant reminder of the consequences of her hunger and gluttony.

As the ages passed, Uwabami's presence served as a cautionary tale to all who encountered the dragon serpent hybrid. The once mighty creature, now a broken soul, yearned for release from the torment of her unquenchable appetite.

Kodama, the forest deity of life and death, stood as a guardian over Uwabami, her eternal watcher in the lightning deserts. The deity's presence served as a reminder that unchecked desires and actions have profound consequences, and that the delicate balance of nature should never be taken for granted.

And so, Uwabami remained confined to the lightning deserts, her hunger forever unfulfilled, her existence forever bound by the watchful gaze of Kodama, the forest deity of life and death. In this eternal vigil, their intertwined fates would forever serve as a testament to the price one pays for succumbing to the darkness within.
