Melchior

Mercedes and Melchior both share an undying loyalty to the former count, Lucio. Since his passing, and, surprising everyone, reanimation as a goat... ghost. Ghoat? Mercedes and Melchior remained in Vesuvia, which is now a part of Icirrus. The two are content to be serving and protecting Castle Vesuvia despite the fact that its only residents are Nadia, Pythia, Rao, Priscilla, Rosebud, Count Lucio's ghost, the clan's familiars, and all of Lucio's other pets. While the pair were trained to be vicious protectors by Count Lucio, they are actually quite friendly. Mercedes more so than Melchior. There's no denying that the siblings are experts at spreading cheer and happiness throughout the castle. Their more canine attributes make them quite playful and excitable, although they can be very aloof if you don't pique their interest. Melchior, unlike his sister, isn't fond of celebrations held at the castle. Whenever one is held, he keeps his guard up and stays on high alert, as the parties remind him of the night that Lucio was killed. Melchior wants to do everything in his power to prevent something like that happening again.
