Cantarelli
The Pelting Portalmaster
"Well, the good news is that I found today's lunch safely floating in the void. The bad news is that I appear to have banished that one monster to our lair's kitchen."
Not all spellcasters are content with sitting in towers doing pointless research on frogs all day, for some, a more exciting hands-on approach is better. Cantarelli, born to the Ice flight yet more of an Arcane dragon at heart, studied under some of Sornieth's greatest archmages, developing her magical talents over many years. She was rearing to jump into combat against just about anything when her tutors informed her that the next 35 years would be spent writing her thesis. She promptly left academia afterwards.
Cantarelli spent some time as a wanderer, travelling from one lair to the next and offering her magical services, before returning to the lair of her father, Starfire. Here, she opened a vast network of portals spanning across Sornieth and into some alternate realities (and some locations that would kill one instantly), useful for travel and summoning. She was also particularly useful in getting rid of things that were bothering the lair.
Insects intervening with research? Teleport them into outer space! Thieves trying to steal your stuff? Blink them out of existence! Rodents eating your crops? Banish them to another reality altogether! Cantarelli's talents for transporting things from one point to another near-instantly have made her services a valuable commodity. She mostly does odd jobs for the other members of the lair at a substantial fee of treasure, making her service one of the more profitable ones.
If you have no treasure to spare, you can also pay her with random items for her to launch into things on the other side of the world for her own amusement. No, this hobby is entirely unrelated to a previous incident of a basket of carrots slamming into the Astrolodome at the speed of sound.
