-ABOUT-

April traces her origins back to the Frigid Floes, where she was born alongside her three siblings to two obelisks, a Wind magus and an Arcane scholar. But while April herself took after her parent’s intellectual pursuits, she held a closer relationship with one of her Clan’s other residents, a nocturne by the name of Marginal. The nocturne was her muse. He spoke of lands beyond the harsh cracks of the Floes and encouraged her skills in reading. So when the time came for her to leave home. The young obelisk took a job as a librarian at the Magpie Estate, a grand manor that served as a place of research.

April was focused first and foremost on research. There was work to be done and April was not going to shirk. She had performed studies in the past, having been raised in a family of intellects, but Magpie Estate proved to be far stranger than she could have ever expected. It started with that skydancer attacking and injuring her. Then came the next attack, from a dragon she thought worked with her. She remembers the claws. She remembers the teeth. She remembers dying from those claws.

Then she woke up. Her legs shook as she stood back up. April’s soul was broken like a shattered mirror. Her body was now covered in scars and she felt something was lost. April recognized that she had somehow found herself in Arcane, her father’s homeland, and was quick to protect herself from the radiation. It did not hide the scars of the past, but she started to feel more secure. April was no longer an ordinary dragon, but the world simply kept turning.

-PERSONALITY-

April once held a great deal of life in her soul like any other dragon, but her reemergence has changed her in ways even she does not fully understand. A reserved individual who always keeps her composure. April is the definition of a consummate professional. She rarely smiles or shows any sort of strong emotion and always seems to have a bit of a glare on her face. What she once felt is gone and she is fully aware of this. The obelisk keeps to herself because of it. Few are her friends. Even fewer truly know her.

Deep in her burning heart, there lies a need for revenge. Revenge against the one who killed her. April doesn’t fully understand it despite her attempts to. It’s the only strong emotion she can really feel at this point, and it drives her to find the one who did it to her. When she is not thinking about her death, however, she is generally calm. It is a strange feeling to have emotions she is unable to fully understand, but those emotions are nevertheless there. She generally keeps them to herself.

April is shrouded in an air of mystery. She has a story to tell, one that few dragons are able to understand. She has no idea why she is here, but works hard and always keeps herself professional. There are young dragons to aid in Oden and while April never anticipated this to be her task, she knows that not everything is as it seems and that others need to understand that. Perhaps she’ll learn something herself.
