Viper is a monster hunter.

Not a slayer - maybe hunt is the wrong word. Monster fanatic? That makes him sound more intense than he is. Really, he'd just like to look at them up close, and hopefully not get eaten. His size and stealth come in handy, there, but his curiosity and impulsiveness do hinder him sometimes.

Well, he hasn't gotten eaten yet! And he's made some really stunning sketches of Luminax. Maybe he'll go up a mountain, next, see if there's anything cool living up there.

Eventually his travels took him to the metropolis that is Solace City. While there weren't exactly giant monsters rampaging through the streets here, he did come across something that could help him find the ghouls - Rogue's Private Investigation office! He had heard of those from his lineage; they would go around investigating all things supernatural.

It seemed like a good fit. Viper went on to introduce himself, and before too long, he ended up partnering with Rogue. He couldn't wait to see what sorts of creatures he could catalogue now.
