Pebble

Pebble doesn't remember her life before she met Dust and Dune at a very tender age. The two mothered her incessantly. At first, Pebble enjoyed this, but she soon found it to be stifling. Despite the two always taking risks, they treated her far too delicately, partly because of her age, and partly because of her miniscule stature.

Thankfully, the clan the trio joined for a while weren't quite as overprotective. Pebble got to join some of the older dragons on a gathering trip, despite the concerns of her companions. On her very first trip, she was separated from the others in the pack. Despite the fears of Dust and Dune, Pebble didn't panic. Instead, she continued with the original job, scavenging for anything she could find that might be useful to the clan.

She didn't see the chimera until she was right on top of it. The fearsome beast leapt out at her, claws narrowly missing her wing. Pebble kept her head and flew up into the air, just out of reach of the creature. However, she couldn't bring herself to leave, sensing something was wrong. The creature was limping badly and looked slightly too thin to be healthy.

Pebble hadn't hunted before, so her attempts were clumsy, but after a few attempts, she managed to bring down a small rodent. With some difficulty, she managed to fly back over to where the chimera was. She could feel the beast watching her, although she kept her wings spread to create a larger target. She placed the rodent down and retreated to a safe distance.

The chimera hesitantly crawled out from its hiding place, keeping its eyes on Pebble the entire time. It snatched up the rodent and devoured it in an instance - bones and all - before turning its fevered red eyes back to her. Pebble sighed and went to hunt again. It hadn't taken her all that long before...

Ten rodents later, Pebble was pretty certain she was getting better at the hunting malarky. The chimera was looking less fevered and slightly happier. It had also stopped looking at her with eyes that suggested a meal, and instead more fondly. Pebble nodded it a goodbye, having heard the sounds of the clan searching for her.

As she joined back up with the clan, she noticed a stirring from some of the members. She turned around, to find that the chimera had limped after her. Dust and Dune were impressed, having finally been shown that she was still capable of making her own decisions and following through. From then on, Pebble and her chimera friend, who was christened 'Rocky', were never separated.

Pebble, Dust and Dune were happy with the Stardust Wanderers, but they soon felt the need to settle. The nomadic nature of the tribe wasn't right for them. So when the opportunity came to settle down as ambassadors in another clan, the trio eagerly volunteered, despite knowing they would miss their previous clan.

Pebble was the most forward of the three when being greeted by Clan Kaitos. She enjoyed the fact that the clan was being led by a fellow female fae, and the sheer menegerie of familiars that Rocky could make friends with. She handed over the note from her previous clan, as asked, although the imperial that took it off her looked confused after reading it.




Nontheless, the trio were greeted warmly and soon made to feel at home. Nobody tried to separate Pebble and Rocky, and most of the dragons wanted to be friends. Pebble was encouraged to try new things, despite Dune and Dust's doubts, usually with the help of a more experienced dragon. She swiftly made friends.

Pebble continues to be outgoing and friendly. She's usually the first to try new things, although she doesn't mind running them past a few dragons first, as she does like to be sensible. Dune and Dust still occasionally mother her, but they give her a lot of freedom, preferring for her to make her own decisions. She also helps them to look after, and occasionally bully, Rilian, the far too good natured imperial.

Pebble has taken to protecting the clan and gathering for food in the surrounding areas of the clan with her trusted team, comprised of Eithne, Noelle and herself. She has become much stronger, and was a great asset in the move from Starfall Isles to Shifting Expanse, being both well versed in travelling, and strong enough to stop the clan from being attacked. She hopes things will never change from how they are now.
