He arrived at Shadow in the final days of Morningstar's host in the Sanctum. The clan was beginning to work out its shape by the point of his arrival, but the lack of a distinct leader for on-the-ground operations was palpable. Though Starburst Stuart carried much of the logistical burden on his sturdy back, the clan yearned for direction, for something extraordinarily bold to lead the way for their dark, glorious future.


With wings as splendid and gaping as the night, and colors so bold as to strike every sense in the body of the observer, Sour Stephan brought an air that had not yet been seen in the halls of early Morningstar. His art, too, was bold and fierce. When he put his claw to canvas, the paints took life into familiar shapes and striking nameless forms. Unlike many reclusive creators in the clan, he adored the company of spectators while he painted. He quickly gained the admiration of fellow Glitterboys for his flair and commandeering aura, and the respect of the Deathless Ones, with whom he sat patiently in his first few days to learn their trades and roles. Cotton Candy Sammy was thrilled to have found a dragon so capable and bright who shared his vision, and within a very short period of time, Morningstar had found its operational leader.

The clan was quickly expanding, and though the expectations of command were great, Sour Stephan spoke to each of his comrades to map out the needs of the clan and match them to a clear path forward. Stephan's poise and leadership were instrumental in the final decision to begin the long trek to the future glory of this clan-- now his clan in the Southern Icefields.
