The Current Navigator

A young Undertide found as an orphaned egg, Ulupi was raised as a communal ward in The Deep. Though cared for lovingly, Ulupi never quite fit in with her school of Undertide and Maren, always looking towards the shallower waters of The Sea of a Thousand Currents, questioning their exile often and vocally, much to her family's chagrin. With the recent elemental upheaval and the disappearence of the Tidelord, the young Undertide finally got her chance to do what she always dreamed of: Explore the shallower waters. To her endless joy and fascination Sornieth does not end at the water's surface however. Thus Ulupi soon left her family of the depths to see the above world and maybe find a new family she could be more at home with. She eventually found it when she met Kaze and Vens' Clan during the time they were settling in the Tidelord's domain. Following a premonition to a small, secluded cove in the Tsunami Flats, Ulupi came across the pair of Tangaroa and Tsovinar, who had follwed a vision of their own. All three were convinced their meeting was meant to be and so offered Ulupi the Clan's hospitality. Many of the water dragons were taken by the first Undertide they'd come across, so far having to go on nothing but rumors about their reclusive kind. Ulupi was asked for stories about The Deep and she was happy to oblige. Day turned to night turned to day again and somehow she found herself staying, taking up a job as Current Navigator before long. While not yet experienced in battle, Ulupi still knows how to use her spines and sinuous body to quickly close distance with an enemy and strike hard before retreating just as fast. She is still learning how to keep herself airborne or in water and avoid being grounded, therefore she is never fighting alone. This has had the effect of giving her plenty of training in teams and Ulupi has shown great promise at learning support magic. |
