"Mad? Is one who has solved the secret of life to be considered mad?"

Acidus was always a curious, sharp Spiral. Interested in alchemy from a young age, it's no wonder he ventured into the more dubious side of research once the usual became too safe of a practice.
However, he wasn't the most careful of alchemists, easily distractible and rather clumsy, many accidents marr his records, and many have led to unexpected discoveries too. Acidus would say it's all part of the process, but Acidus doesn't quite take the consequences seriously.

Ironic to his name, the young Spiral ended his career by knocking down a vat of acid, dousing himself in the process. But what he assumed would be his end only marked a new beginning.
Seeing the potential in him, Thanatos decided to give the alchemist another chance, scooping him up and taking him to the Troupe's lair.

Without the limitations of mortality to both himself and the dragons around him, Acidus began conducting even more outlandish experiments, until he tried to replicate Death's own abilities through science and alchemy. On his own it proved near impossible. Luckily, another Spiral took interest in his research - Fulmen, who offered his input and aid.
Unfortunately being enabled by an immoral necromancer led to using other dragons as his test subjects, and the more successes their undertaking yielded, the more extreme the experiments became, eventually leading to a complete reanimation of completely new dragons put together from bits and pieces the pair found through dubious means.

Not that anyone in the Troupe minds the two, they're mainly avoided by those who prefer to stay in one piece, but there are dragons, Aberrations in most cases, that ask to be guinea pigs of their own volition, so the deranged duo always has something to do.

Experiments: Minthe, Battery, Skellie, Frankie, Stalker
