Brenin

Brenin looked over the dragons in a vast ballroom preparing the room for a party. “What on earth is that color?” He said. “It’s Crimson, since you’re hosting this for the celebration of Autumn, we all thought it was fitting.” Brenin sighed. “Do you really think my scales will look good with red? They would clash horribly. Change them to Wisteria.” He proceeded to walk out with his head held high.

Brenin walked out to the streets filled with merchants selling sparkling jewels, chests made of gold, and other iridescent items. Out of the blue, a bright orange hatchling came barreling into Brenin’s leg. “Ugh…inferior street rats,” he thought. The hatchling looked up at Brenin meekly and smiled. “Sorry sir,” the hatchling said. “Didn’t see ya there.” Then he ran back to the alley he came from, where 4 other snickering faces were waiting.

“If only this city could be rid of rodents like that child,” Brenin thought. First the draping color, now this? Next thing you know, he would be sucked into the hurricane off the coast. He continued to pick through the crowd, walking with dignity. Why couldn’t any day go without these horrid problems?
