Biography
natural primal
When a tiny, crystalline voyager pod departed from the Astrolab Mothership to monitor the solar winds of Sornieth's upper atmosphere, nobody suspected that such an unusual, strong turbulent force would knock the smaller spacecraft right off its course. The shuttle, bathed in the darkness of the Shade's attack, hurtled towards the planet at an alarming speed. Shrapnel fell from the craft in large chunks, disintegrating in a spectacular pink and black comet tail as the crew evacuated for dear life.
Nobody survived the collision with the Crescendo, save for a single egg that was swept into the many silks and sails of the Cloudsong's nearby city. As if by some miracle, the only damage to the egg was a single tiny crack. This egg toppled and bounced its way off many a balloon, swept along by kite-tails and decorative ribbons, until its descent came to a gentle rolling stop at the entrance to Bamboo Falls.
Directly onto the fluffy mane of a dragon lost deep in meditation.
Startled, the lone Tundra quickly set to crafting a makeshift nest of soft grass for the strange cosmic egg, wrapping it in crimson silks for extra protection. After this was completed, and a tea made to soothe the dragon's nerves, Kallum promptly settled himself down in the reeds and waited, sipping quietly and cautiously at his beverage. He wasn't sure what had led this strange object to him, but his warm pink gaze never left that egg. Whatever the cause for this strange visitation, the fluffy paternal monk prayed and meditated over the nest, wondering what life it held within.
And then, after many starry nights under the peaceful bubbling of the nearby springs, the egg hatched.
"Hello, little one." The proud father smiled warmly. "My name is Kallum."
"K...kae...kay...lum", came the chirping response of the hatchling. "Caelum!"
"Oh, err... that's not quite right there. Can you try again? Kall-um. Repeat after me... kall...um--"
"CAELUM!" The two bright, round, wispy green eyes beamed proudly as the youngster wriggled in his nest, six legs kicking wildly at the air before finding the grass below and stumbling around in circles, crashing into the thick sturdy leg of the perplexed Tundra above. "CAELUM CAELUM CAELUM!!! CAE CAE CAE!! LUUUM!!"
"Oh... oh my. Settle down, then, and I'll make us some tea."
And that was how the rambunctious, energetic little Caelum got his name.
