Aberrations find life an ordeal from hatching, most of the time. Thankfully, whatever stray plaguebringer lost this egg that some predators forgot by the Citadel Ruins, they seemed to have been finding it less of an ordeal than usual - Rhyme and Reason show every epigenetic sign of having been children to a well-adjusted, even-keeled motherdyad that faced very little trauma in life.
They don't seem to be very coordinated yet, and Rhyme's deeply whimsical intellect is sometimes a poor match for Reason's analytical curiosity. But they're determined to be good brothers, and by golly they're going to!
