Aurai

Overview:

Aurai, as not only a true wind dragon - known for their naturally charismatic and carefree personality - and also an Aether - known for being the most cooperative and empathetic of dragons - she is a true bundle of otherworldly affection.

She is presumably the friendliest dragon within the Amethyst. Brimming with confidence and energy, she does not shy away from dragons no matter their appearance and intentions. This however makes her very spontaneous and impulsive, and because of her over-bearing personality it is a challenge getting to know her. She also very selective memory, only recalling things she wants to recall. You may have the greatest experience of your life with her, but chances are she has already forgotten your name the second you part.

She has a rather nerve wracking appearance, with her wind-condensed magical gaze and 6 bright large feathery wings she is unlike any being the Amethyst Kingdom had ever seen. A minor deity is what she is most often described as, and many even conspire that this is indeed factual.

What ensures Aurai's place within the Amethyst as a magic wielder is her absurdly extended stamina and supernatural energy compacity. In short - she is an extremely adept wind magic user, and is near constantly using her magic. She is incapable of staying in place, and ordering her to restrict her magic is like sentencing her to death.

Theories, conspiracies, and beliefs arose about her origins, her birthplace and where her egg laid before finding it's way to the Ameythst. But by far the best and universally believed would be the tale of Aurai and the Eye of the Vortex

"The Twisting Crescendo, the eternal spiral southwest of the Windswept Plateau, is a place that not even the purest of wind dragons wish to enter. To hear of a dragon who would willing set off into the dangerous spiral is a rare and far between occurrence, and stories of dragons who had made it out are near non-existent. Furthermore, within that swirl of wind it is safe to assume that not even a full grown dragon would reside within - let alone an unhatched egg. But there was. An Aether egg, abandoned once claimed by the storm's manic winds, laid not near the storm, not even mid-way in, no - it laid in the center; absorbing the condensed fury of supernatural wind."

Extra:

- Aurai was named by Uimo, the same dragon who had introduced her to the kingdom when she was just a hatchling

- She has a loud voice, or at least the illusion of a loud voice for when she speaks it sounds like multiple dragons talking at once. Many report feeling dizzy upon hearing it for the first time.

- She is hardly grounded, constantly mid-air no matter the occasion. If anything, she is worse at walking than flying - constantly tripping over herself and bumping into things.

- Naturally, she despises closed, tight spaces.
