» LADY PYTHIA «
Oracle | Priestess
She/Her | Unlabeled | Young Adult
Pythia is a mysterious figure among the clan. She's quiet and keeps to herself, spending most of her time on the fringes of clan territory. Despite her affiliation with the Coterie, a Wind clan, her allegiance does not lie with one of the Eleven - in fact, she has devoted herself equally to all Eleven, and has spent much of her life traveling the world of Sornieth in pursuit of her faith.
Despite being withdrawn and quiet, she's polite when interacting with others and rarely has a negative thing to say about anyone - looking past her soft-spoken, reclusive nature and it's not difficult to see the kindness and warmth shining just beneath the surface. She has no interest in dating or mating, and has a hard time socializing, leaving her without many friends. Still, she is well respected among the clan as a mouthpiece for the Eleven, and is referred to as Lady Pythia by all of her clanmates. |

Pythia left her native clan when she was very young, embarking on a quest to pursue spiritual fulfillment. At the time, she'd been a follower of the LightWeaver, and her travels initially brought her to the Beacon Of The Radiant Eye. However, she found that despite being surrounded by like-minded followers of the LightWeaver, she still was not content there. The more time she spent there, the more she began to feel that something was missing. So she set out once more, this time broadening her faith to include more and more of the Eleven over time. Each new part of Sornieth seemed to show her new things; new reasons to devote oneself to that region's respective Deity; and as she collected these experiences her allegiance to the LightWeaver grew to become an allegiance to all of the Eleven. Eventually, she settled in the Coterie. Despite being young, her travels alone around Sornieth had worn her down, and she needed someplace to rest. She had tried settling down before, but found it difficult to stay among clans who clearly favored their Deity over the others. The Convallaria Coterie seemed a perfect clan to settle into, because although a Wind clan, the clanmembers aren't particularly devoted to the WindSinger - in fact, given the clan's eclectic and diverse population, all of the Eleven are worshipped in some way among the clan. Now she lives on the Western edges of clan territory, mostly keeping to herself. She's a kind and gentle dragon at heart, but has difficulty socializing. Others among the clan treat her like an oracle or a priestess, coming to her when they have prayers they want to say or when they're in search of guidance from whichever of the Eleven they follow. Other dragons will even bring her offerings that wish to make to the Eleven. She would never refer to herself with terms like 'priestess', as she's too modest, but the image of her as an oracle; a connection between the clan and the Eleven; persists. Her isolated home sits on the cliffs at the south-eastern side of clan territory, overlooking the sea. It is decked out in candles and various kinds of trinkets and ornaments related to the worship of the Eleven. She spends much of her time inside her home meditating or praying, and is generally perfectly happy to remain in her secluded cliffside hut, far away from the bustle of the lair's center, where the quiet allows her to focus on her spiritual practices. |
