Lanterns light the roads of Ruine, guiding stars within the deep mists. But every once in a while, a light off the road will glimmer and dance in the dimness, calling to those curious enough to follow it. Most legends of lights such as these end in harm or misfortune, but nothing bad comes from these lights. They always shimmer just out of reach, jumping away right before one can see what it is.

This is partly due to how cowardly Oriole is, one of many fae beings that live within Ruine. They naturally glow, and are quite small, similar to a spiral, but can vary greatly in size and shape. Really, they are just dragons, but seemed to have stepped into the Feywilde at some point or another and been warped by the strong magics there.

Oriole is one of the more solitary fae, living alone amongst the woods at the top of Ruine's territory. If any were brave enough to even enter the woods, they may encounter him, but it's unlikely. He lives within a treehouse - a rather cluttered one at that - and leaves as little as he possibly can. However, he's recently been courting a rather kindly fae, so one may witness his glowing tail outside of the forest. 		xxxxx
