Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we're not. In either case the idea is quite staggering.

A very long time ago, a meteor streaked through the night sky and crashed into an iceberg. The resulting explosion was beautiful and terrific, sending ice shards into the sky, twinkling under the auroras. A dragon hatched from its abandoned egg right at this moment, and he looked up into the sky with awe and fear all at once. The twinkling fragments drifted on the wind, and he gazed with wonder at the vast sparkling void above him, stars and ice shining together. Galactus was enthralled with what waited above him, and ever since that night his goal was to fly as high as he could so that one day, perhaps, he could traverse the universe himself. Every night he watches the sky with longing.

Galactus is an intelligent and reclusive dragon, preferring to be alone pondering the infinity of the universe over socializing with anyone other than his second head. At night, one head is always awake and gazing at the stars. One day he hopes to fly high enough to touch them.
