Features: Slightly poor eyesight that lead to her being the first dragon in the clan to wear glasses willingly.

Personality: One of the calmest dragons in the clan, Mariel has strong motherly feelings to all the hatchlings. She's very protective of all of them, even those who aren't her own. She and Laxen share the feeling of thinking before acting.

Talents: One of the best in the clan at calming down the young ones, and for planning ahead.

Abilities: Can create light spheres, and good with potion making.

Hobbies: Enjoys reading and messing around with magic/potions in her spare time.

Likes: Hatchlings, friendly dragons, light, books, birds

Dislikes: Dogs, pitch dark, lilies, ribbons, sand, blood

Mate: Laxen

 Mariel was a happy dragon. She was well fed, cared for, and generally loved for most of her life. At least, that's what she thought. Her mother always cared for her, but had a sad look in her eyes. Mariel always liked to watch the new dragons, how they fluttered about in such a nervous way, it made her giggle.
That is, until she found out why.
The day Raut came was the day she truly understood what was happening. Bo and Sol had called him in, to talk. She watched, even if she couldn't hear their conversation. Sure, Tune dragged her away a few times, but what did her mother know? Mariel kept sneaking back.
He was in there for what seemed like ages to the found dragonet, but when he hobbled out... It was not a pretty sight. He was bloodied, shaking, scared and scarred, frightened in such a way that Mariel didn't know who the dragon even was compared to before he entered.
Mariel was quiet from then on. Muttering softly, never upsetting Bo or Sol, or anyone for that matter. A quiet little lamb, who'd found the slaughter house by the river of glistening blood. Her innocence was gone. She knew the secrets.
When the dragon aged enough, she fled. The middle of the night, while the 'alpha' pair were "teaching" another newcomer the ways of the clan. Mariel was smart, and knew a small pathway out.
Blocking it up after she left.
Mariel traveled for what seemed like years to her. No dragons came after her, surprisingly. It was a miracle to her. It was during her escape of eternity that she met Laxen, a kind-hearted fae who clearly wanted nothing more then the best of all of his clan.
The two talked for a bit, resting from their travels and telling their tales. Laxen was kind to her, and the glisten in his small eyes made her know this wasn't the fake joy from her old clan. Laxen's reaction to her tales proved such.
After a while, he suggested that Mariel came with him, to their clan, so she wouldn't have to worry about being lonely. Agreeing, she came into a lovely oasis of happy dragons, all well-fed and loved by each other.
And she never wanted to leave.

Of course, the clan got taken over by LaraRaptor. Mariel was badly wounded, and Laxen was lost from her forever.
