Ariel

Ariel's a self-styled genius, with all ego and pride that implies. The trouble is, he's actually intelligent enough that it's hard to tell him off. He is willing to learn but not to lose, and he won’t play fair – though he’ll not cheat, at least not obviously.

He’s a mage. It’s his calling, as he might say, and he takes immense pride (not that he would ever admit it) in the fact that his little arcane sprite came to him, as opposed to the other way around. She, at least, is a most loyal follower, and is eager to describe his vast intellect.

He basks in it, much to the chagrin of his clanmates. He cares little for their opinions, though, picking out only what he wants to hear – and perhaps even taking pleasure when they admit begrudgingly that they need his abilities.

Try not to step on his shadow. He thinks it rude.
