Shoreline foam stained pink, upon purple sands. Mist from the waterfalls covers me like smoke—a house in the sky, hidden by clouds—a bath full of water, surrounded by water, above the clouds, floating fish. My body lies afloat while the swans dip their beaks, bathing in the moonlight dawn—bed, covered by silk, misty with the pink haze. Book of wonder, unread, dusted by the flowering vines. Watercolor skies of pink, divine swans, flowering lands, and beaches of purple sand, all lost to the clouds.

The fleeting passion for coding slowly left my grasp. Creativity washed away like the sand on my feet. I've felt drained, often wanting to do more but thinking less of my skill. Guilt for not releasing and neglecting the shops I once loved. I focused on other hobbies. When I sat down at my computer late in the night I'd try to convince myself. "Today is the day I code!" But once my fingers hit the keyboard and I had all my tabs pulled up and ready to go, I'd chicken out. The mood just wouldn't come back, the passion, the feeling I got each time I made a code. I wanted to make something that everyone could use or love but it was hard when I couldn't love it the same. The sky was a misty hue of pinkish-orange from the fires nearby. An eerie sadness yet it was so beautiful. I'd sit by my windowsill staring at the sunset and sunrise because it made the sky so pretty. The smoke from all the fires was lost in the clouds, and my only wish was to sit upon those clouds to watch. If there was a castle in the sky I wonder what they feel, watching the world below burn. AHAH! This is the feeling I was missing... |
