Duskerin is from an old family of dragons that ruled a large and prestigious clan. However there was not a chance of him being an heir since he is a 12th son. He is honorable and he treats every dragon he meets with respect and so is respected in turn.

Since he had no future in his home clan, he decided to travel. He befriended Trill when they met on the road and eventually was one of the first invited to join his lair. He rules on the Lair's Council and is considered a talented diplomat and handles all disagreements both in the lair and with outsiders and beast clans.

He has taken it upon himself to represent the wishes of the dragons in the lair that are not members of any of the other groups that already have representatives. He speaks for the artists, chefs, hatchling watchers, and others.

"I believe we can come to an agreement that will benefit everyone."
