Qualzekin

History
Qualzekin is one of the dragons that founded the Institute, though it was mostly Zilraeos' idea. Qualzekin supposedly originated from the Foxfire Bramble, hatched from an egg in an abandoned lair, and grew up travelling around the Tangled Wood, finding whatever they could to survive. Never settling down to create a lair and being in packs of Mirrors around the Tangled Wood to hunt and kill prey living in the area, this was their life for a long time, until they had a fateful run-in with a Pronghorn Stomper, which was the same encounter they met Zilraeos in.
Qualzekin remembers it vividly - having been abandoned by their transitory pack of Mirrors due to injury, they were left in the Driftwood Drag for some time, and a Pronghorn Stomper approached them with intent to consume them for prey. With the strength they had, they fought it off as best as they could, but they weren't strong enough. Just as they thought they were about to go unconscious after the Stomper threw them into a tree, a large teal Guardian dragon whacked its head into the Stomper and put it into a vulnerable position, allowing Qualzekin and the teal Guardian dragon to finish it off.
Shortly after, the teal dragon Zilraeos took her in trying to nurse her back to health, and they learned they had quite a bit in common. This caused them to fall in love with him in the weeks that the two were around each other.
By the time that Qualzekin was back to normal, they didn't want their connection with Zilraeos to go away, and by extension the organization that Zilraeos created - but they felt obligated to participate in the packs of Mirrors around the Tangled Wood and surrounding areas and wanted to involve themselves with dragons outside of just the Institute, so they decided to negotiate with him about becoming one of the clan's diplomats and also would be scavenging with Mirrors whilst doing that. Zilraeos agreed - and it's provided several new clan-members to them.
Today, to the Institute they come and go - providing a variety of foods sourced from beasts they fought that they saved for the clan when they return from their often long travels around Sornieth, and has had many children - though Ikaroa is one of the few of them that has decided to stay within the clan and is its heiress, along with her brother Ryegen.
