The Wyrmwound spawns aberrations each year, multifarious in type and immense in number. This recent generation of two-headed twins has been a turbulent one, many of them dying because two minds do not always share one body well, but nonetheless they have a certain sense already of intraspecies normalcy.

That sense entails there being two minds in each body. The dyads called Rage and Wrath were each named after their predominating half, but Sully had what was definitely four parents.

There is, unfortunately, only one of her. Contact with a powerful healing magic nonconsensually subsumed the mind of her "younger sibling", Smirch, into hers, such that she is now one two-headed person carrying around a ghost.

Grieving and tired of lying to other persons (the Wyrmwound may spawn clans, but they are not of a people), she fell in with a merry band of ruin-scavengers and in due time found comfort and acceptance there. But that comfort and acceptance still feels conditional to her, and there is another imperative gnawing on the edge of her thoughts -- the desire to breed and nest her own clutch, which repeated and enthusiastic experimentation with anybody willing at all seems to show is something she can never do.

Despite her terrifying appearance and constant oozing of gorey aberration-fluid, Sully is a very sensitive and gentle soul; it was Smirch who let themself be hardened by the world they lived in. She is prone to moods, some very melancholy and others sickly-buzzing, and not particularly realistic or pragmatic in the bent of her thoughts.

Many aberrations are less lucky - too many limbs for the number of connections to the brain, or too few eyes, or ribcages compressed so that the shoulder joints sit wrong for hunting. But then, luck is a very relative idea - nobody understands when Sully talks about Smirch. Nobody, nobody at all. It's not a good thing that they're gone. It's not.
She's not healed from anything now that they aren't here - they were a part of what she should have been, and they're missing.
