I got to go to a cat cafe today! One which I´m hoping to volunteer at. If I can force myself through the process. I flipped through and discussed photos of ¨chats¨ in a french cat breed book with M. ¨Ain´t No Rest for the Wicked¨ played over the radio. They had a sandwhich called the ¨Granny¨ which D and I noted. Dad said he expected the other sandwhich, a bagel sandwhich, to be called ¨the Grampy¨. I misheard it as Grampity, and we had a laugh at that.

The cats were so relaxed in there. M asked if there was anything wrong with a little kitten, Tamera, because she didn´t respond to a volunteers petting at all, just stayed curled in a comfy position. But she was fine, so M thought maybe they´d recently gotten shots or something. They were all that relaxed more or less. A chunky tabby named Luna was laid out on the couch, and snuggled her head lightly against M when she sat beside her. We pet her a bunch and she rolled on her back a few times, super calm and cute.
Two of the cats, one with a flower collar (which means ¨cattitude¨ and the other a black kitten, got in a scuffle. Sparrow, a tabby girl, was perched highest up and seemed happy when D pet her. Far from a stress free experience for me, ofc. But better than usual.
M, D, and I eached picked an orange from the plant when we got home. First time we´ve harvested that plant.
We all layed on sofas in the back for a while after. Beautiful weather and sunset. Felt overwhelmingly thankful, (even though I fully expect things to go bad down the line). Today was a good day.
