Biography

This dragon is named after the Charles Dickens' character Ebenezer Scrooge from his novel A Christmas Carol. Scrooge is a greedy, cold-hearted old man.

She's melancholic, she's collected, Ebeinezer is often considered a calm person but she's mostly heartbroken. Separated early from her relative, Wilanów, as he was taken away to be used in the Cult of Gold, she never went past it. They were close and grew up together, but he was abducted and used to conduct experiments. Fully aware of what became of him, Ebeinezer is devastated, for she knows there's nothing she can do against those who did that.

Firstly, she became a hermit. Living away from the clan, and learning to cope and grieve - she found some peace of mind in plants by taking care of them, but it wasn't enough to keep her mind busy.
When her piece of land was involved in a territorial dispute - she met Veghel, who was at the time in charge of that kind of issue. While he fell in love at first sight, Ebeinezer was oblivious to his manners and sweet smile. He continued to come see her in her isolated wood, she would welcome him but was always absent-minded and lost in her thought - she would only try to stay polite, and was also afraid of what could happen to her tranquility if she tried to push away a high ranked military man.

After a while, Veghel sent him a declaration of love, inviting her to come out of her woods to live with him. Ebeinezer, still scared of the possible consequences of declining such an invitation, accepted, and left all of what she had behind her. She found a way to stay isolated while in such a busy place - the barrack of a War Emissary - and everyone thought that she was a sweet and loving housewife.

Because of her calmness and intelligence, Veghel believed she would be able to help their leader in her tough decision-making, and that the soft personality of Ebeinezer would please their Sovereign. Through his recommendation, Ebeinezer became heir of Qween, who was convinced she would be able to rule the clan as good as her if she had to leave, or worse, if she died. Ebeinezer never said no, but again, because of her fear of being harmed if she showed any form of rebellion against the heads of state...

Now, Ebeinezer is left with great responsibility, though she is still as desperate mentally as the first day she lost Wilanów.
