Claw of Nannette | The First Mind

Information:
Maya had long been obsessed with the creation of new life from death rather than simple reanimation. Of course, her dreams didn't stop there. She wanted to make a new thinking creature, one that could be independent and make it's own choices. For most, dreams of creating such things would be considered insane. But after a long string of failures, Maya crafted Charnel, a horrific beast of a creature like all his more feral brethren, but finally, with a mind that could learn and adapt, rather than simply hunt and murder.

Maya was of course ecstatic and loved her new "child" very much, dedicated years to training him. This went well, to an extent, though there were many issues with his verbal communication. He still learned all he needed and more, including, of course, necromancy.

Unfortunately for Charnel, Maya had eventually made more of his thinking kind, leading to her attention being split. Still, he was loved, even considered the favourite. But, realising attention given to him was attention not given to her work which she desperately wished to chase, he was gifted to Nannette to serve as an apprentice and caretaker of the garden, as the older dragon had assisted Maya multiple times already in his upbringing. Surprisingly, he became favoured by Nannette, as the rest of her apprentices often moved on or disrupted her garden in some way, while Charnel, in his almost single-minded devotion to his new work, tended to the garden with as much care as his new master.

This led to him becoming a Claw of the council, with his main function being to monitor the garden. Of course, he does still get to see Maya now and again.
