Personality and Interests

Rin is a perfectionist who works their tail off. If they take on a task, you know it will get done! They absolutely hate being told to smile. For one thing, they only smile when they’re actually happy. For another, that’s just their resting face. They’re not mad so stop asking.

They have pretty bad anxiety and can’t handle uncertainty and risk. Once it starts getting bad their claws shake and their tail lashes into absolutely everything. They’ve broken quite a few vases or other decorations when they didn’t realize they were getting upset.

They love reading adventure and mystery novels. Their parents and the hatchling minder encouraged their love of reading early. Books are still the safest gift, even if they’ve ended up with multiple copies of the same novel. They also like crafting with bark. Birch bark is their favorite since they can do so much with it.

Biography

Rin had always longed for adventure. They read tales of daring swashbucklers and close escapes from danger with stars in their eyes. They wanted to be like the rogues or noble knights, but there was just one problem.

Rin just can’t take risks. They feel immense anxiety clawing at their guts if they don’t know exactly what to expect. The only way they could calm down was through gardening. Their own garden became more elaborate as they worked out their nervous energy by pouring it all into their plants. They easily had the best garden in the whole domain within a few years.

Other dragons started to notice what they did and asked for help with their own gardens. It started with just a few simple jobs but grew into a service for planting full gardens. They started charging, then raising their prices but many dragons still were willing to pay. In fact, they were getting hired for more elaborate jobs.

Now they’re creating some of the most renowned formal gardens in the region. They spend most of the late winter and spring going from site to site to plan and work. At this point, they had to hire workers to do the majority of the planting. Once that passes, every rich clan in the area is trying to tempt them into working as the head gardener. They’re not complaining about the treasure, but this wasn’t how they expected their life to go. At least it was nice and safe.
