Biography

Alastrian is a cold, reclusive dragoness who doesn't get involved unless she has a personal interest in the matter. Thogh she often claims not to care about those around her she doesn't hesitate to jump to the aid of those who've shown kindness to her in the past. She often does things that appear harsh and unfeeling for those she cares about because she thinks it's for the greater good. She refuses to talk about her history but may open up to a choice few who are patient and get to know her well enough.

The first clan she lived in dissolved while she was living there and she was brought into her former clan as a refugee. The drake who brought her there, Grimm, took a special interest in her and even made her his mate, though it didn't seem she shared his feelings for the most part. Secretly, however, she was protective of him and intrigued at his insistence on hanging around her, and it was for that reason that she sacrificed herself to save him by taking the bite from the plague head of an emperor dragon shortly after their last clutch was laid. She died shortly after, her shadow body unable to fight off such an intense dose of plague.

Or so it seemed: somehow, she'd survived the fatal wound, which rendered her comatose instead of outright killing her, and woke up alone in a strange land. Too weak to travel, she stayed there fending for herself until her strength recovered enough to fly. She tried to return home, but found her old clan thinking her dead, including her former mate. Feeling this was for the best, since he could now move on to a mate who'd more openly reciprocate his affections, Alastrian made the tough choice not to return home, not even to see the hatchlings she'd never gotten to know.

She flew on and on, until she could fly no more and then wandered on foot until that exhausted her too. She continued this for days until she was finally stopped by a clan interested in taking her in, bedraggled and weary as she was...
