Slade is the youngest of the clan. "Perhaps that's why he feels so drawn to food --sugar, essentially-- and mischief-making" say the elders. But Slade knows that, even though that statement is the tiniest bit true, it's not the main reason why he acts so...jovial? Maybe that´s not the best word to describe it, however... it's just that not even he knows who he really is. Who he is meant to be.

You see, Slade´s coloration is not usually seen on dragons his breed. Not in that combination, at least. And you can't easily hide your --literal-- true colors, either, so unfortunately Slade spent his whole life drawing attention to himself. Unwillingly. One day though, he had what he calls his "awakening":

If everyone will be looking at him anyway, why not make it...
...fun?

Thus, he became himself: the metal-streaked menace, as Frostclair likes to call him. For him, pranks are his love language, a little act that says "I thought of you, and I want to share a fleeting laugh, companionship, a minute celebration of camaraderie... in hopes we grow closer." And not everything is a "prank", really. Sometimes he just wants to give. To heal. To love.

(he will never admit that last part, honestly.)

Next time you find a Flamecaller plushie after a particularly rough day, take a quick look around: maybe you'll catch a fleeting glimpse of spruce and metals swiftly leaving the place.
