Shiryu is a very quiet and serious dragon, self concious and rather meek for a creature of his intimidating size... But this wasn't always the case. Some time ago, time that feels like eternity, he was an extroverted and energetic young man. Shiryu was originally a trickster like many of the Shadow dragons are. But he, in particular, was a specially cruel trickster, always on the lookout for ones to fool. Along with a group of equally large friends, their antics were well known in the area around their clan for being big and nasty and cruel. Of course, once their antics were well known, they had to relocate their humorous efforts farther and farther from their home, essentialy isolating them more and more in their attempts at having fun. Soon enough, they were drifters. Amongst these expeditions, in which the friends briefly parted ways as to escape consecuences for their jokes, Shiryu came across a lair with only a few dragons. Interested, he aproached it with the lie of being lost and tired, waiting for his travel partners to turn up again. As he was taken in, he soon found that the inconditional kindness which the clan leader and her companions offered had been disgraced by his false pretences. He also found that the medic of the clan was breathtakingly beautiful. After some time, he excused himself, and found his group nearby. Shiryu could not help but tell them of the amazingly gracious hosts he had been treated to... but his partners only paid mind to the seemingly small number of dragons that inhabited the large lair. A number, that with their size and number, they could easily overcome. But Shiryu had changed that day. He had encoutered a clan that did not know of his shameful fun or his lies, that had been kind above all else. This had gone too far. Though, while an Imperial is large, even they can be overtaken by the power of many. It was brutal. And while he fought valiantly, managing to ward off his once friends, he could've not lived to tell the tale. If it had not been for the sound of their commotion, the Miyzan clan may have never found him, and brought him in to heal him. His body was forever scarred, as well as his ego, and he made a promise to all members to atone for his terrible actions. They have long forgiven him for that now, but the scars remind him of the day that changed him. But now, his loving mate and doctor provides him with as many bandages and kisses as he could possibly need. If there was one good thing that came from that day, is was those simple things. |
