A once-jovial soul who romped and played in a faraway place, an ephemeral town called Refuge. She has no memory of her parents, much less any consistant caretakers - raised by the collective residents of the mistral town buried deep in the wilds. While Monsoon had once assumed the wilds shifted each sunset, it was one fateful day in her adolescence when she learned the truth of her hometown. In a blink of an eye, she watched the forest dissipate and become replaced with vast volcanic floes.

The very valley itself lifts upon the winds and rests somewhere else in Sornieth, followed by a thick pea-green fog. And it was one foggy night when her sister, a promising young warrior named Nymbal, suddenly went missing.

What happened after Monsoon doesn't like to talk about. The howling winds, the loneliness, but catch her in a better mood and she might tell you the time of when she was hunted by a pack of windborne wolves for seven days and nights, how she triumphed over them. She had gone searching for her sister, and once she looked back, the Refuge was gone for good.

Nowadays She's quiet on foggy nights. Unable to sleep, haunted by the sound of a lonesome bell. Each day she searches less for her lost home and lost sister, and each day she finds something new to live for.
Some say she's cagey. She thinks she's an appropriate amount of protective of the ones she has grown to love. Nevertheless, she has an awful habit of big-brothering others without their consent.
