From a young age Asuka looked at the world with wonder, and it was noticeable that she held a keen eye for detail. When she was younger it was noticed that one of her wings was weaker and smaller than the other. This left her unable to fly for most of her childhood, though the stories of her distant relatives was inspiring to her and she did not give up on her creative dreams.

She grew up to be exceptionally sharp minded, though she uses this in order to help others as well as her creative endeavors. Eventually Asuka created a device that she used to help her weaker wing function a bit better, allowing her to slowly learn how to fly. During one of her first attempted flights she somewhat crash landed near the crumbling town of Amarna and met the clan Kauket. She grew intrigued of the dragons living in such unique conditions that she ultimately decided upon staying, offering her artistry and inventive abilities.

When a self proclaimed noble by the name of Rosalind is brought into Amarna with injuries, Asuka becomes curious of her and offers to paint portraits for her while she is stuck here regaining her strength.

Eventually a new dragon arrives in Amarna and much to Asuka's surprise it is her half-brother Yomi who has arrived. He mentions feeling a calling to be here and Asuka believes his reasonings and welcomes him warmly despite them not knowing each other especially well due to Asuka being a quite older than him.
