Initially arriving in the Godling Collaborative cave as a shining carnelian statuette carried back by Red after a gathering trip, Abrastil was quite surprised to awaken so far from where he'd initially been injured. An experienced mage & warrior, he'd flown far from Waterdeep to scout for information about enemy movements or the whereabouts of a fellow Gilded not heard from in a few days, or even more of interest to himself personally: the Tower At The End Of The World. Unfortunately he'd managed into the eastern side of the Shifting Expanse and gotten struck by lightning, sending him tumbling down as a statuette into the sands below. After a brief tense standoff between himself and Scorn was interrupted by Moori and Gummi offering tea, Abrastil asked if perhaps the Godling Collaborative had heard anything about the Tower, or seen his Gilded ally. Red unfortunately had not seen any other dragons or statuettes during his outing, but Theristis and Hanna had recently found a damaged book that briefly mentioned the Tower and brought it for him. Abrastil scoured the volume, not learning much he hadn't already known as a denzien of Waterdeep, but stopped to ask about what other volumes the Collaborative possessed in their library, and if they'd be willing to share more knowledge with him another visit.. the visitations became more and more frequent, to the point the Collaborative became a stop on most of his scouting expeditions to exchange knowledge or travel alongside Red, Scorn, Starsong, or even on occasion Theristis & Hanna as his quest to find the Tower continues when his other warrior duties allow.
Abrastil's family waited to perform his runic reading until his acceptance into Crestflame Academy, a night of joyous celebration. They keep the results among the family, but the reading gives him important knowledge that helps shape his future as a mage and defender of Waterdeep, in classes he finds defensive magic comes very naturally to him and greatly enjoys the extensive library, spending many of his off-hours perusing page after page and learning, seeking knowledge about his mother's father's family and why they turn to crystal when injured. The visits to the Collaborative become less frequent between schooling, studying, and his duties, but during holiday breaks he tends to find an excuse to visit Feu.
After many months of intense searching and research, thanks to a breakthrough from a book Shikasa brought back from an adventure Abrastil finally found the Tower At The End Of The World, earning his blade and gaining with it the confidence to join the Blackstaff Tower.
