If there's an oddly placed tunnel in Roost's Edge, however inconvenient or strange it might appear, chances are it's the work of Yafa. Outwardly, he's seems like an alright dragon. A happy go-lucky miner, where excitement and earnestness seems to radiate off of him with a toothy smile and crooked mining goggles. In reality, Yafa came to the Down Underneath in hopes to obtain the most desired treasure by mortals; more magic. His seemingly random tunnels were deliberately mapped out by Yafa himself, thorough research from slightly questionable readings telling him where magic reserves might actually be. Quite questionably though, Yafa doesn't hide his intentions or plans from other villagers, choosing instead to tell his plans to anyone wiling to listen. The others think that this whole story of digging for magic reserves is a sham to cover something else up, so they just give a hearty chuckle and a little wink. Yafa is not aware of this and believes they are supporting him wholeheartedly. And so, with a drill strapped onto his arm, he digs and digs and digs, hoping one day he manages to break into a magic reserve.

RELATIONSHIPS

As Feather has been digging tunnels of his own, Yafa has taken advantage of Feather's wider and deeper ones, thanks to his familiar Tora. Whenever the imperial leaves for other tunnels and plots to dig into, Yafa snoops in to check if the larger dragon has hit any magic reserves. There has been no success.

Yafa has seen Celes' supposed magic skills and he seethes in jealousy in the background. Celes has warned him multiple times to stop with his foolish quest, but Yafa, taking this as a jab and insult, ignores him continuously.
