He dreams of fire and the sound of metal breaking. It’s the same dream every time he sleeps, and even though he doesn’t need the rest he does it anyways. It reminds him why he can’t go home, of what his brothers and sisters took away from him in pursuit of their holy war. Oliver has separated himself as much as he can from them, but no amount of sigils written on his skin can keep others from seeing him as an angel. He may be invisible to his siblings, even as he inhabits the same space as them, but it is the mortals that he worries for. His gilded wings and faceted skin make him difficult to miss. Even so, the Weathering have gotten used to Oliver’s presence and odd apparel, and dare not mention him to the other angels. They usually leave him to his own devices in the library, surrounded by a pile of books, leaving only to bring back even older manuscripts which he’ll pour over for weeks at a time. He and Emrys have an odd sort of kinship, but neither speak of the jealousy that comes off the angel in waves whenever he speaks to Emrys for too long. -hides in the spirit court as a witch doctor -the powers of the other nephilim help hide his power from the host -the last place they'd look for an angel is amoung the nephilim -members of the spirit court (mostly it's visitors though) come to him for little things; love spells and luck charms, a cure for a cold, etc -at least it keeps people asking about his weird clothes -he's rather withdrawn, but it helps his persona -short tempered -overall a pacifist -vanishes for weeks at a time on "herb picking" trips |
