ORIGINS

______This offshoot of the Tropical-Finned Aberrations evolved over several generations to withstand the pressure of living in the deepest part of the world- the Leviathan Trench. A cold and ruthless home, this variant of sea serpents uses a bioluminescant bacteria that clusters on their bodies as glowing gems or beautiful frills to attract prey. This bacteria has a symbiotic relationship with the dragons, as studies of the bacteria show they would fail to thrive without a host after being attached to the dragons for so long, they have also adapted to living on them. These dragons will perch on the walls of the Trench, letting their luminescent frills and gems do the work in attracting their prey.

______These vicious predators live in bioluminescent coral close to the Spiral Keep as well, the bright blue glowing colors serving as a warning to any trespassers about the toxic nature of the dragon's homes. To see them emerge is horrifying enough to fill the viewer's heart with dread as a pitch black shadow with disorienting glowing patches darts into the shadows, already invisible in the cold sea.

______Survivors of the deadly denizens within the trenches have dubbed this creature as Lantern Lurkers, thanks to the way the living organism that has attached itself to the dragons attracts food. When not perching for prey, they may be found hiding in the cracks of the walls. You can be sure you're never alone in the seemingly desolate trenches at the bottom of the world.

Species: Aberration
Colors: Shadow-Spruce 1 & 2, Any 3, XXY with a tertiary color that matches an accent color of the primary/secondary. Variations of the subspecies can be found in other color ranges, but also must be XXY.
Genes: Pharaoh/Sarcophagus/Glowtail, Frills, Jewels
Noted For: pitch black coloration with bioluminescent spots
