Biography

Aquatic Relic
The beach is usually a very pleasant place to be, but today is different. It is windy, and dark gray clouds threaten everybody beneath them. Inran however, isn’t afraid of some clouds and gusts of wind, and bravely walks along the shore looking for treasure. Because that’s what he does, looking at fun and hopefully valuable items that have washed up onto the beach. So far, he has found a few baubles: a pretty seashell, some kind of marble and a hat that someone else possibly lost. Well, it belongs to Inran now, finders keepers.

But then it starts raining, and a little later it starts thundering too, and most dragons leave the beach. Inran is the only one still around, still digging through the sand, trying to find something worth his time. He finds some more seashells, a couple of dead fish and some seaweed… And thinks about just leaving too because obviously he has found all valuable items that have washed ashore.

Then thunder strikes. Not onto Inran, luckily, but right in front of him. It’s loud and bright and surprisingly hot. Inran steadies himself, squeezing his eyes shut in retaliation. But nothing more comes. It stays silent, no more thunder, only rain that pours down on him. Inran opens his eyes and carefully walks up to the place where lightning touched the ground.

There, in a small little crater, lies a piece of carved out rock. Obviously carved by someone, not by the lightning strike. He picks it up and it pulses in his paws. It glows slightly too, and it feels oddly heavy for such a small piece of stone. Everything in Inran’s senses tells him to put the fragment back down, to walk away, to never think of it again.

But he can’t. This is powerful. But more importantly: this is valuable.
