Give a greeting to this gorgeous guy who joined the clan on 7-2-23 at 11:22 am MDT who is also the clan's (something to do with Role) ! :D
When this Imperial arrived, he came with a name already from one of his first clans, but never felt like it fit or belonged very well, so he waited until it could perhaps change. His name was one of an attribute, one with which one might describe a character of a brute or beast, and this term was Ferocious, but these were things he didn't consider himself. It never changed however so he just accepted it and went by 'Ferry or Feri' for a time until the Winds of fate brought him to a clan where the change could finally be made..... And thus, he became EchoShimmer, named for the shimmering effect of his hide and a deep fascination he'd always had with echoes.. and echo as in a nod to his parents, that his coloration was like an echo of theirs, being the same genetics as they had ^^) His new name-change took place & was recieved on 8-7-23! :D

EchoShimmer came from a clan situated in the Tidelord's domain, and was the last born to his parents in their family. Being the youngest in a vast family, he had plenty to dote on him who were still there in the clan and his parents made extra sure to treat him well as he was the last they had as complications arose that lead to their lineage ending with him. He grew up with this knowledge, and made sure to defend and protect himself against any threats as well. Though not his favorite thing to do, he became quite skilled in defending himself and soaked up all that his father and brothers would want to teach him about defensive techniques. He proved his worth to his family and worked to show them he wasn't a spoiled brat but worthy of their admiration and many came to love & cherish him as an equal.
As time went on as it does, he began to feel a desire to seek out more that life had to offer, and so, he decided to leave his home under the depths and search the realm for what life could offer him & if he'd be fortunate enough to find his place in the land of Sornieth. So, taking to the Auction House, he entered a stall and awaited patiently for someone to take him to their clan..... That time came when a clan leader from the domain of the Shadowbinder went by and the richly colored dragon caught their eye. Plunking down the fee on an instant whim of an impulse, the dragon was bought and shortly thereafter brought home to the lair near the Sunportal. He was welcomed in and very soon thereafter found himself mesmerized by a brightly-colored Obelisk.......


The clan leader knew of this as well and paired them up for a breeding project of their own personal gain, but the Obelisk wasn't too thrilled at that prospect. EchoShimmer wasn't too happy at it either, but being controlled by the leader at the time, they had no say in the matter and as he tried to get to know her, he figured it wasn't so bad after all. She was a bit bolder than he, but after spending some time together, they decided the other wasn't so bad after all, and fell into a romance of sorts. Though they may have clashed at times, he ended up being glad the Obelisk was paired to him and she took up a special place in his heart as their bond flourished. He gladly rested with her over time and took her in as his own, happy to have found what he thought was a mate-to-be. A short time later, they awoke to find a nest filled with a clutch of four eggs, and the clan leader was thrilled at their results and named one of their children the heiress to their project, once the eggs hatched. Seeing that this stage of their project was done, however, the leader decided they no longer had a use for the Obelisk or Imperial and thus sent them on their way, putting the Imperial for sale and sending the Obelisk from the clan to serve Exalted under the Shadowbinder. Although proud for her that she was chosen to serve in the ranks of the reigning deity of their current home, he grew resentful at the leader for splitting them up and robbing him of a lovely thing that was beginning to form. When they Exalted his other children shortly after they hatched, he again grew angered, feeling he had been robbed once again of the chance to see them flourish in the world, and happily took the leader up on the offer to return to the Auction House. Though his daughter was left & subjected to a similar fate as he, he promised himself he wouldn't forget her and made a vow to tell whomever bought him next about his one remaining child so that they could gain her as well & be reunited.
And that was what lead him to the clan in the Windsinger's domain, led by a golden Fae, named GoldSong, and her compatriots. The clan leader, whom he would come to know as Cascade, spotted him on a forum thread elsewhere as she was looking for new dragons to add to the clan, and again, his vibrant hues caught the eye of the leader. With purple being her favorite color, and after some investigation, her heart went out to him after seeing his family situation, she just knew she had to have him. And thus, the funds were exchanged yet again and the Imperial found himself in a new home once more. He was welcomed in happily again and got the sense he'd been brought to the right place and was finally home. He saw how everyone got along & lived harmoniously with each of their own personalities, and was happy to have been brought to the Wind clan. Thus, the Imperial then named Ferocious, felt ready to settle and be himself too and sought out his name change.
Upon settling, he felt as though he'd found his place in the world and was ready to see how he could contribute to the clan. Before moving too far ahead however, his heart still ached for what he had left of his family, and thus he did let Cascade know about his daughter. And so, she kept her eye out for his Obelisk child, and when she too was listed on the forum again, Cascade sprang at the chance to get her home as well. She too however had been bred and had a daughter named the heiress to the other clan leader's project, and so Cascade kept an eye on it until she, too, could be retrieved and brought back to the clan. A time later, the family trio were all under the same roof, so to speak, and the troupe was happy to be reunited. After the dragons became situated in the clan, EchoShimmer was happy to have his kin with him at their new home, and they were all glad to be with one another, as well. Though each had an aching side to them as well, for neither of them were able to keep their mates or other children, and so they took solace in one another at this unfortunate prospect. Several others had joined the clan at this time, however, since Cascade was also very aware of this fact and didn't want to see any of them alone. Thus she'd bought & brought several more to the clan to be each of their partners, hoping things would work out between each. As this group of dragons settled within the clan as well, friendships and bonds began to form between them all, though this time they weren't forced. ^^)
At this, EchoShimmer found comfort in the arms of a sweet yet sassy spiral named Seirra and his daughter sought refuge & companionship in the embrace of a nomadic Nocturne, and her own daughter found love in the heart of a stoic yet warm Gaurdian. Worried SparklyDawn would think he was trying to replace her mother, he asked if she was alright with the choice, but she wasn't worried and rather happy that he was happy again and told him that Fissured, the Obelisk, would probly want to see him happy, too. EchoShimmer was pleased with that, and was happy to see the partners his kin had chosen as well, and oversaw each of their relationships to make sure his family was going to be well taken care of.. Though the Nocturne may have had some questionable tendencies at times, he saw he was golden to the core and there was nothing to fear as his daughter was in good claws (hands) with him. The love the Gaurdian had for AuroraSerenade, his granddaughter, was palpable and as obvious to see as a wing on a dragon's side, as he did everything for her, even making her his Charge, and EchoShimmer beamed with pride, happy to see that as well. Love flourished for all three of the family members then, and the Imperial was glad to see such positive bonds taking place. An Obelisk had caught his eye again at first, however, from the group of the other dragons, and he smiled to himself as he wondered if he now had a sweet spot for the kind. But when they didn't hit it off right away and a polite Skydancer asked if he may try his claw (hand) at a time with the sparkly purple dragon, the Imperial kindly & respectfully bowed out, thinking it was most likely for the best. That was when Seirra presented herself as she was trying to befriend the Skydancer yet to no avail and had been wondering about the Imperial, and when the opportunity arose, she acted on it, introducing herself. At this swapping & switcheroo of sorts, EchoShimmer was confused yet astounded at first then came to accept things and warmed up to the Spiral in no time and was happy to see she'd been the one to join him at his side & as a new member of his family. He continued to watch from a distance as the other two, SereneSelene and Astabb, happily hit it off as well, but let them be and focused all his time on his new family and partner, happy to see everyone was happy and it all worked out swimmingly in the end...........
