Biography

Dumuzi, named for the ancient god of shepherds and the goddess Inanna's consort, wandered onto the Tsunami Flats, burdened with glorious purpose. In his sleep, he had heard a voice calling to him from dark waters, telling him of a new home. The voice spoke of a she-guardian, whose consort had left her to serve the gods. This she-guardian was struggling to hold her clan together after so many of them left to follow her consort. Not one to ignore such dreams or positions of power in which he could help others, Dumuzi left his home in search of the new one. When he arrived, he told the story to Inanna, the she-guardian he had seen, and she welcomed him in, explaining that he had heard the voice of her consort, Dumuzi. Inanna christened him with the same name, giving him power within the clan. Ishkur, Inanna's current consort, was glad of someone else to fill that role, as he prefers fighting to ruling. Now, Dumuzi is respected among the clan, with Anshar and Siduri helping him.
