Given that he isn't capable of walking or flying, Valeth can be found swimming through the murky waters of the swamp alongside the toridae. He works to help keep the waters clean from trash that may wander or fall in, or deity-forbid be thrown in there on purpose. If he catches anyone doing it, he is sure to leap out from under the water and latch onto the offender and... give them a stern talking to. Valeth isn't a violent dragon, but he does know how to get someone's attention.

Excluding Zuphlas, at least. Valeth never knows how to properly talk to the nocturne, let alone tell him how he feels. Ever since he stumbled upon the nocturne during one of his lectures to a meddling hatchling who had thrown an old boot into the river, he became fascinated with the dragon whose mere presence made plants turn and lean towards him. Originally, Valeth had been covered in algae and seaweed, but for whatever reason, Zuphlas had decided to give the undertide some of his flowers - a gift from the land he could not traverse himself. Ever since, Valeth has cleaned himself up and worn the flowers he was given, and has also gained quite the crush on the nocturne. Although the undertide is thankful that Zuphlas had never caught on to Valeth's poor attempts at flirting or hinting towards his affection, he was unfortunate enough to have Kaitaka - the local hopeless romantic and self-proclaimed "love guru" - catch on, and now he has to sit through the spiral's own lectures of how to talk to a crush or how to "woo" someone. He's beginning to see how the litterers feel, and he would much rather let a giant sea creature swallow him whole than take the spiral's strange advice. |

| Valeth would rather live his life and try to let his feelings pass, though it seems like the universe is out to get the undertide, as he keeps running into Zuphlas on accident. Once, he even accidentally fell into the river trying to get water for his plants, and the undertide had to help him back to land. He was a stuttering mess when the nocturne thanked him. He went home and angrily chewed on his stress boot for how he handled the interaction, but Kaitaka tried to reassure him that he'll get it next time. Wait - how did Kaitaka know what happened?! |
