Located in the sinuous depths of the Starwood Strand, Academia Arcana is where the dragonkind all around Sornieth congregate for the pursuit of knowledge. It is believed to have been constructed by the Arcanist in the days of yore. A barrier made of aether engulfs the site surrounding the Academia and separates it from the outer world, making it impenetrable except for the remarkably gifted novices.

Those who want to join Academia have to go through painstaking training sessions on the camps on the other side of the barrier before they can get inside and fulfill their destiny, though some very exceptional dragons are able to be admitted inside without setting foot in the camps even once. However, fate is not so kind to every dragon. Novices are continuously reminded of the gravity of their task just by looking at the barrier's edges, where they can see the ghosts of the dragons gone old and sick and mad from waiting there for their whole life in vain...
