Only a few steps later, you find yourself next to a great chasm of a den. Inside, you see an Imperial resting on silk and dried lavender, stirring at a cup of tea. You begin to walk past when he looks up at you.

"Oh! Why hello there! I'm guessing you just met Inspiration, yes?" You nod your head. "I'm Pollen. It's a pleasure to meet you." He hands you another teacup, already filled to the brim with a steaming herbal drink. It smells like jadevine, lavender, and the blossoms of various fruit-bearing trees, as well as simple tea leaves with a hint of honey. You take a sip, and smile at the crisp, bittersweet taste.

"It's an original recipe of mine. I like to grow herbs and prepare teas in my spare time." After finishing the beverage, you gently give the delicate teacup back. Pollen takes it in his claws, satisfied with your favorable reaction. "Usually I serve mage duty around here. They say I have a gift for magic that would be wasted were I to leave for The Observatory. I... Disagree, to be honest, but they treat me well for my work, and it's nice to be away from home. My parents were kind enough, of course, but I was always expected to either look like a prince, or find a lair to live with one. I didn't expect this... Odd place to have the funds to pacify my parents into accepting my leave, but they did."

The Imperial gives you a warm smile and a pat on the back. "I'm going to deliver this to Inspiration. He says tea helps him focus on his work." Pollen picks up the teacup in front of him and begins to leave. "You can take a couple herbs with you, if you wish. Run along now, alright?" With a bundle of lavender in your claws, you head onwards into the lair.
