The sinister, uncanny mate of Rylen, the town's main fishmonger. Since she arrived, customers can scarcely enter the store without seeing her long, blue tails coiling around the table's legs, and hearing her throaty voice call out loud greetings from the shadows. She's never garnered the same trust that Rylen has, and many of the town secretly hope that one day, she will leave as silently and quickly as she had appeared.

Like Rylen, Jana has an uncanny talent for sniffing out rot. Unlike him, she has no qualms with it. Handling, (Or god forbid, eating) rotted flesh is a matter of indifference to her, taste buds dulled after a life of not having enough to eat to be picky. Rylen may understand, but that doesn’t stop his skin from crawling as she wolfs down whatever mysterious chunks of meat she lays her eyes on. Their customers are similarly disturbed. Most won't willingly talk to her unless they need to, unsettled by the impression of barely-restrained violence that hovers over her like mist.

Unfortunately for the customers of the fish shop, she does most of the selling, nowadays. It’s too quick to notice- the tip of Rylen's claw tapping the crook of her elbow, a little shuffle of his foot, just the barest dilating of his pupils. And she draws herself to her full height, casting him into her shadow, and starts to talk. By god, does she talk.
