==History==
She came to the lair without a name, worn and duststreaked from years of travel alone. For months she would not speak, just showing up from the shadows to lend her strength to any task available, evidently uncaring of the damage hard labour did to her appearance and health. Many Carnelian members tried and failed to break her silence, until finally one day, wandering deep within the Outpost, she came upon a naming ceremony for clan-chosen Carnelian hatchlings. Bardiche saw her sitting passively behind the hatchlings and carefully clomped her way across to the pearlcatcher's side. "Miaodao." she decided, carefully bumping her nose to Miaodao's pearl and backing away to allow the hatchlings forward to repeat her benediction. The next few hours saw Miaodao's first few words to the Carnelian Clan, answering and greeting her 'fellow hatchlings' and participating in their Clan welcoming ceremony.

==Relationships==
Miaodao has found a most unlikely romantic partner in Sumbling, the distant descendant of Shamshir. The mirror's rambunctious nature and garrulous speaking manner might seem an odd combo with Miaodao's quiet dignity, but she's one of the few to make this lovely loner smile.
