History xxA splash resonates at shore. xxTangerine hues disappear, cerulean flashing under the moonlight. Look beneath the surface, and one shall find an unusual sight: a Ridgeback. xxShe maneuvers past oceanic flora and fauna with ease, body moving with ripples of power as she soars through the sky's mirror, wings tucked in that particular way to benefit her hydrodynamics. Making a sharp turn, she angles herself the right way to plunge rapidly, diagonally, skimming the shallow floor before she eyes a fish large enough to snap her jaws around, her chewing all casual as she continues along. xxEventually, she goes up for air. The unusual sight is now a splendid one, for her wings flash at full spread and stand out under night-silvers and deep blues, looking very much like the sea come to life. xxDrayth shakes herself off as she meets the shimmering sand. Clapping draws her attention: it's Brilliance, who has chosen to not dive with her this time. xxApparently, the open waters of Sornieth are different from the ones he'd gotten to splash in where he was born. Felt different, he'd said after dipping his claws into the shallows. Drayth had only nodded at the time, wondering if she'd be able to test those aforementioned waters one day. xxFor the time being, she's just glad that she has a partner who has and will continue to swim with her. xxThe ocean is an open place. It simply would not do to be alone, just like if they were in the wilderness surrounding the Druidkeep Den. xxTogether, they return home. |
