Rastaban's Logbook wrote:
I have finally reached the most important stage of my life. I have found myself a charge to protect for the rest of my time. Unfortunately, I can not trust anyone to know what this charge is. It is related to a deep secret of mine that I do not wish for anyone to know at all. I have decided to build myself a lair in one of the peaks of the Crystalspine Reaches. I look upon this event with great anticipation, I hope that I can find other dragons and form a clan worth living in.
Perhaps I can distract others from my true charge with this book. I’m glad I managed to find something like this, I can speak the events of the day and the book will record them perfectly. Even better, the book can grant any reader to see the events transcribed, as if they were there when those events took place. If I could use this book openly, maybe other dragons will think this is the charge I have chosen to protect. But maybe… what if my charge doesn’t have to be only one thing?

Founder and leader of the clan, Rastaban chose to build a lair here after discovering his charge. What his charge is, he says is his logbook. There are some who believe there is more to his own charge than that, but no one has been able to evoke a response from him, not even Eltanin.

Rastaban has a unique way of showing his gratitude for his clanmates. He has taken it upon himself to add to his charge anything that they wish to have protected. He is considered the most respectful of others in the clan, a quality that convinces many not to leave.

Upon the addition of Pleiades and Hyades to the clan, Rastaban has been noticed being more protective of his logbook around the two Aether. While the two sisters promise they won't go near his book as they understand the importance of the object to him, Rastaban still acts wearily around them.
