HAZEL

- THE GATHERER -

The world is full of hidden treasures and old stories, and Hazel is determined to find them. She wanders around the world with Ash, looking for trinkets and artifacts. Many of these she sells back to the clan, or to artisans so that they can be turned into something worth selling. Some, however, she keeps, collecting the seemingly worthless items and hoarding them in her rather small den.

Her actual focus is on collecting herbs and fungi for use in cooking and medicine making. Much of what she collects goes to Wynn, though she isn't sure what the old coatl actually uses it for. She has a nagging suspicion that Ash knows, but he refuses to tell her. Still, she enjoys travelling with Ash, despite the odd characters he tends to deal with.

The two nocturnes live together in a hollowed out tree, though the hollow itself is filled with Hazel's many treasures, everything from old glass jars to strings of dried milkweed. These she guards fiercely, presenting a formidable threat to any creature who might try to nab them.

Deep within a murky wood, a witch and a wanderer churn out their magics. Hidden from outsiders, Moore and Cantilena, experts in potions and homeopathy, decided the world was too cruel and unaccepting of their work. Their children remained hidden with them.

Ash would always have his chin on the edge of the table, watching with wonder at his mother's handicraft, or his father's herbal milling. He gathered with them, he brewed potions with them, and once he was old enough, he would don his parents' guise and venture into the world to sell their wares. It was a tough lifestyle, and he loved it. Seeing his patrons' satisfaction and their cheerful praise was enough to keep him going in the family's secretive business.

Constantly wandering the world, Ash often weaves between clans, selling his herbal potions and wares safe from crowds and prying eyes. Any friends of his would need patience, as he's rarely ever in one place, and may often go days without being home. Such is the trader's way.
