______ Wyrm decided long ago to accept his name. Just as he had accepted his parent's prestige. They were wealthy, tragically so. They had many, many hatchlings. But only three or so survived. And Wyrm was the last. And they hated him for that. They also hated him for his strange appearance. It was bony, foreign, and alien. He would wander the hallowed stone halls for hours, searching for comfort from another of his own kind. But he held them no ill will. Wyrm found joy in this isolation, harnessing his vivid imagination. Besides, it was not in Wyrm's nature to hate forever. So, when he was old enough, he left.

______ Turns out that Wyrm had no clue how to survive. But he learned that fact rather quickly. So, when he finally fell to the ocean floor, days from death, the remoras found him. At first, Wyrm believed they wanted to consume him, but he didn't have the strength to fight them off. He lay there, miserable. The next morning came and he found himself remarkably alive. And clean. The remoras stuck around as he regained strength from the occasional stupid crab that wandered his way. Soon, he saw once more.

______ Surge found him first, and he was terrified of the massive, strong undertide which watched him like a shark. Even when he tried to leave, she kept following him. Then, she began to throw food his way. A bit slow but not stupid, Wyrm took the gift happily. And they followed each other, with Surge hunting and Wyrm offering up his friends.
