Biography
A seasoned (in the metaphorical sense, anyway: she's not old enough to remember seasons) warrior-mage you do NOT want to mess with.
Cascade wields the spirits of her defeated foes as weapons in battle. To save herself from the same fate, she squirrelled her own spirit away in a plum stone. This has long since sprouted into a flourishing tree, which thanks to the strength of Cascade's spirit remains evergreen and ever-flowering, one of the few consistent supplies of good food in this neverending winter.
Of course, these days, there's not much call for battle. Ever since the Society trapped a spirit of winter on the grounds, they've been growing a glacier. These days, the worst horrors have been locked up in that glacier.
Sure, the glacier needs constant magical reinforcement because the horrors are actively working to get out, but patrolling and strengthening traps and locks just isn't the same as a real blood-for-bone fight, never knowing if your next breath will be your last.
Cascade used to wield such power, control over life and death at her fingertips, waking malicious and restless spirits at a whim and dismissing them with another. Now she's nothing more than a caretaker.
So, she must find her fun in other places, riling up the populace of the manor, fuelling passions until they come to blows.
Cascade is, of course, the one dealing the blows.
